Lifestyle | 5 Good Things #1

First of, this post was meant to go up yesterday evening but I didn't get home till like 9.30pm and was pretty much zonked from the weekend. So it's going up today instead.

I'm constantly thinking of all the stuff that goes wrong or has got me down during the week, which isn't great for a healthy mind. So I've decided to try and share each week 5 good things that have happened. So let's look back on this week.

Dinner at Dirty Bones & Catch Ups with Old Friends
Monday night I went and met some old work friends for dinner at Dirty Bones on Carnaby Street and it was delicious. The food was amazing as was the chat; it's always worrying when meeting up with friends you haven't seen in a while if  it will be awkward. But this was just like being back i nthe office all together again. Food wise, I had half pile of Fried Chicken with Cheesy Truffle Fries and it was so good; I'm still thinking of those truffle fries now.

Passing My Driving Test & Getting My First Car
If you read my Let's Chat post you will know that I was super anxious about my test second time round; I was pretty adamant that I had failed after struggling with my reverse around the corner. However when we got back to the test centre and the examiner showed me the pass tick I burst into tears of happiness. I was then super lucky that my mum gave me some money towards my first car; a Peugeot 206, I can't decide if I should call him Romeo or Kanye Junior though? Let me know what you think? I can't wait to get driving properly everywhere now!

Meeting Estee Lalonde
Thursday evening I head to Waterstones on Tottenham Court Road to meet Pippa, as we had managed to get tickets to Estee's book launch Q&A session with Emma Gannon. It was so refreshing to meet someone that inspires you, that lives up to that expectation and more! The book itself, Bloom, is perfect in so many ways. I can't wait to read this from cover to cover. I felt thoroughly motivated afterwards and have got so many more things I want to share with you on here.

Drinking Latte's On The Way To Work
The other day in  Primark I picked up a travel thermos mug so I could drink coffee/latte on the train to work; because I'm just too tired to function before 9am and my bank balance can't handle Starbucks everyday. This has just made mornings a little sweeter; I use the instant Nescafe Latte sachets in the Vanilla or Gingerbread flavours as they only take a minute to make.

Manchester With My Best Girls
I had Friday off work to head up to Manchester for the weekend with my best girl mates; we were one buddy down though this time. We spent Friday evening eating Chinese takeaway and junk food by the gallon all while watching girlie films, drinking wine and some serious girl chat. I've got a blog post coming soon sharing more of what we got up to; but the weekend was great! I got some good quality time with my besties as well probably gaining a few pounds.

What's been the highlight of your week?
Let me know in the comment below.

Until Next Time...
