Beauty | Kylie Cosmetics - Reign Metal Matte Lipstick

Whoops, I did it again! If you've read my Kylie Cosmetics Like Lipgloss post you will know that I was after a Metals shade from the Kylie Cosmetics range and a managed to get one. Once again it was completely by fluke after seeing other bloggers on Twitter saying they had managed to pick up some shades, 5 minutes later the confirmation email for the metal shade Reign was sitting in my inbox. (Someone take my credit card away!)

All three of the Metal shades look amazing in swatches, so I was pretty happy with my choice as Reign is unlike any other shade I own for once. It's a deep brown, which is so on trend right now with the beauty world, and has this amazing metallic sheen running through.

For my skin tone, it's a little too dark if applied heavily. I end up looking so pale and with dead lips; however if lightly applied and smudged into the lips it looks heavenly. The formula is really matte and does stay on, it lasted through a night of around 10 cocktails so it's got great staying power. The pigmentation, like the lipgloss, is crazy intense as well as once again smelling amazing also.

I do prefer the brush to apply the Metal shade as it's doe foot instead of an actual brush like the gloss. This means you can get a more precise application to the lips. I do recommend using a lipliner as well in a nude/brown shade (MAC Whirl works great) just to get more precision and definition, especially if you are after the full Kylie Jenner lip look.

Have you tried any of the Metal shades from the Kylie Cosmetics range? What shades are you wishing for?

Lifestyle | My Top iPhone Apps

If you've ever met me or know me well, you will often see my iPhone attached to my hand constantly! I will admit it's a bad habit to have, but I do think it's quite a common thing nowadays and being a blogger I think makes the phone addiction ten times worse! You feel me?

I'm often asked what are you doing on your phone all the time? So I thought I would share my 6 favourite iPhone apps, that I use everyday!

First up Pinterest! I've become addicted to Pinterest lately and I think I can blame Emily from British Beauty Addict for this after spending our time in Center Parcs chatting about how good Pinterest can be for your blog. I'm often pinning braids, cakes I wish I could eat and amazing eye make up; which all end up wanting me to have a more "pin-worthy" lifestyle! However I am now starting to pin some interiors as I'm saving to move out towards the end of the year. You can follow me on Pinterest here.

Next is Buffer, this is super handy for scheduling tweets if you're always on the go. I love that you can just hit the rebuffer button and it will place the tweet in your queue to post at the designated time. You can only schedule ten tweets on the free version; however I only ever have ten scheduled tweets a day as otherwise I find my timeline is just shameless promo! It's also great as it picks select times that seem key in your timeline to publish the tweets.

Of course Snapchat is one of my favourite apps! I follow a whole range of bloggers, YouTubers, celebs and just my friends. This does mean that I am left with a lengthy amount of stories to check if I leave it too long, however this makes for great viewing to pass the time on my train to and from work each morning and evening. You can check who to follow on my 20 Snapchats You Should Follow post and you can follow me by adding lolamanola14

Instagram is probably my favourite app out of all of them! I'm a big fan of taking photos and always trying to get a theme going (however who has time to do that constantly?) I love posting photos from my latest blog posts as well as behind the scenes and just general day to day life things. I often have a little wander through the #bbloggers and like a lot of photos as well as finding new accounts to follow. You can follow me on Instagram here.

Now for a game, a game that has taken over my life and which I refuse to delete from my phone ever! The Kendall & Kylie game. You basically sent on a quest to reach stardom through social media posts and by doing events and vlogs, every bloggers dream right? I get super frustrated if I don't get at least three stars on an event and if that Aubrey Maddison shades me one more time!

Finally, there is the beloved Twitter! Here I rant my daily thoughts, to do lists (sorry, it's the only way I remember what I need to do) as well as share my love of gifs. Generally I am just complaining about the latest TV show I've been watching mostly though. I love how quickly you can interact with someone about the most random things and I feel like you can post 100 times without someone judging you like they would on Facebook. You can follow me on Twitter here!

What are your favourite apps? Which one do you use the most? Have you tried any of my favourite apps? Let me know your Snapchat names, Instagrams, Pinterest and Twitters in the comments!

Beauty | Revlon Colourstay Foundation

If you've seen my post about What's New In My Make Up Bag, this month; you will have seen that I picked up a new foundation as I was looking for something for everyday use.

I decided to grab the Revlon Colourstay Foundation for Combination/Oily skin in the shade natural beige. I'd seen a few bloggers say how good this foundation is as well as seeing it in action on a few YouTube videos. I haven't really tried anything other than lipsticks and glosses from Revlon so was interested in seeing how a face product would work for me.

This foundation is a dream, okay it's not my beloved Doublewear but it has great staying power and really great coverage. Something that is always essential when getting your foundation to last all day. The shade is also a great match for my skin tone and it was great to see a range of colour choices on the stand in Boots to choose from. I also find that the formula works really well and I think that this is due that it's specifically for a skin type. Something that you don't often find with foundations, which makes it great for the price also.

Have you tried Revlon Colourstay Foundation? What do you think of it?

Lifestyle | Recently Watched...

In my spare time I find the only way I can switch off is by getting fully immersed in a TV Series or a really good film. So I thought I'd share some of my recently watched TV shows and films that I've really enjoyed.

Jane The Virgin
This was a spur of the moment, I just need something to watch, decision. I wanted something that wasn't too taxing for my brain but easy to watch without thinking about. Jane The Virgin was perfect, it's really funny as well as having a good amount of drama to keep you interested. Jist of the story is basically Jane ends up pregnant after getting inseminated by accident, we are then taken on a story of romance, death and much more.

Game of Thrones
Yes I'm late to the hype on this one, but after all the is Jon Snow dead (DO NOT TELL ME...I AM ONLY ON SEASON 5) tweets and news stories I had to see what the fuss was about. Oh my days I love it, I love the love triangles, deaths, the confusing family trees and everything else. It's hard to explain what the show is about but if you like Fantasy Dramas based around old style Kings, Knights and Dragons then I would recommend giving this a go.

Catfish - The TV Show
Nev and Max are my Saturday morning guilty pleasure, whilst I have my breakfast before my driving lesson I'll catch up on the latest episode. I think because a lot of my life is on the internet and I have delved into the perils of online dating, I find it super interesting to see how people can fall for a Catfish for so long and how people have the mentality to actually Catfish people. If you;re looking for a reality show that isn't trashy then this is a great one to watch.

Star Wars - The Force Awakens
Bank Holiday weekend just gone, I decided to finally watch the latest Star Wars film. Now I'm no way a big fan of Star Wars but had heard lots of good things about the film. I did really enjoy it and found that graphics to be extremely good. However I did spend the first part of the film wondering who was Luke Skywalker and were was Princess Leia!

What have you been watching lately? Have you watched any of the shows or films I've mentioned? What did you think of them?

Beauty | 5 Blemish Busting Products

Blemishes are unfortunately something that I suffer from still in my late-20s, so finding products that keep them at bay is always great. This are 5 products that I've found to be great at getting rid and keeping those pesky blemishes gone.

Clean and Clear Dual Action Moisturiser
This is a great drugstore moisturiser that really fights off blemishes as well as hydrating for the skin. I've found any spots that I had brewing underneath would slowly reduce in size whilst using this moisturiser. It's a great find if your looking for something cheap to help get rid of blemishes.

Lush Ultrabland Facial Cleanser
This is probably my holy grail product for getting rid of blemishes completely. It's made up of rose water, beeswax, almond oil and honey; meaning it's super soft on your skin as well having a fresh scent. The cleanser is also great at getting all your make up and dirt off your face as well as reducing redness that often flares up with blemishes.

La Roche-Posay Serozinc Facial Mist Toner
Serozinc is well known for being a great product for anyone that suffers with blemishes. This is a toner mist that you can spray directly onto the face after cleansing and leave to soak into the skin. It's really refreshing and a product I tend to prefer to use during the warmer months. It's also great at reducing redness.

Lush Tea Tree Toner Water
This paired with Lush's Ultrabland is a dream blemish busting combo. Tea Tree is proven to be great at combating spots and it really does the trick. Sprayed onto a cotton pad or directly onto the face, you can really feel this product doing it's thing against your spots.

Pixi Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner
Since finding this gem it will be one of my forever repurchased skincare products. As it's an exfoliating toner it's a little tougher on the skin compared to Serozinc and Tea Tree Toner, it really get's into your pores and rids all that dirt and bacteria that is often the common cause of spots and blemishes.

What's your number one blemish busting product? Have you tried any of the 5 I've mentioned?

Beauty | What's New In My Make Up Bag

So I've been a bit spendy this month when it comes to make up, however it is all drugstore and I just felt that I need a switch up with my current products to update my current routine. So what have I been buying?

Well I knew a new foundation was needed for general everyday use, I work long hours so wanted something with a bit more coverage and stay power. After watching Em from My Pale Skin, Drugstore Spring Make Up Look on YouTube, I really liked the look of the Revlon Colourstay Foundation. I've got the oily/combination formula in the shade 220 Natural Beige.

I've also picked up a few concealers, well four to be exact! The L'Oreal Lumi Magique Concealer to try and brighten my under eye bags, Bourjois Radiance Reveal as this states to be hydrating and I've been finding my skin to get a little dry lately. I also picked up the Maybelling Fit Me Concealer as I've heard a lot of bloggers stating that it is a good drugstore dupe for NARS creamy concealer. And finally another trusty Collection Lasting Perfection concealer as I find it great for covering up blemishes and red areas.

I ended up falling in love with the look of the amazing L'Oreal Glam Bronze Terra Bronzer, it reminded me of Guerlain's Terracotta bronzer and is big enough to last me a long time. It has a tiny bit of shimmer which is great for now we are approaching Summer. I also picked up Collection Matte Bronzer as I wanted a cheaper matte bronzer to carry in my handbag for top ups.

Also from Collection I picked up their Speedy Highlighter in the shade Pearl Sheen. This looks super handy for applying highlight quickly on the go, hence the name Speedy! It's not too shimmer either that it will look great for everyday use now. And finally from Collection I picked up The Work The Colour Eye Shadow Pencil in the shade Vanilla Sky. I love using eyeshadow pencils during the week if I'm running late and find that a cream shade works as a great base/primer.

In a bid to save some money I decided to pick up an Eylure DyeBrow Kit to tint my eyebrows at home. I've given this a whirl already and can notice a difference, however I think I need to leave the tint on longer to get a more defined shade.

I also decided to order a NYX Matte Lipstick in the shade Butter as I had heard that this is one of Khloe Kardashian's favourite shades. However it looks a little wishy washy on me at present but hopefully when I'm rocking a tan it will look like a great nude shade.

Finally, even though it's not make up I thought I would share as it was purchased in the same trip to Boots as most of these items. The new Soap & Glory Shower Jelly in Sugar Crush, we all know how much I love this scent as I have the fragrance, body butter, shower gel etc. So can't wait to get using this in the shower as it's perfect for Summer.

Have you tried any of the new products I've purchased? What's new in your make up bag this month? Would you a more in depth review of any of the products mentioned?

Beauty | Kylie Cosmetics - Like Lipgloss

Kylie Jenner Cosmetics Like Lipgloss

Kylie Jenner Cosmetics Like Lipgloss

Swatch of Kylie Jenner Like Lipgloss

We all know how much I love anything Kardashian/Jenner related as I often mention them on here! So when Kylie announced her Lip Kit range way back in January/February time I knew I had to get my hands on at least one item. However it seemed like mission impossible as whenever I did try the shade I wanted would be sold out.

So one night when I was just about to doze off, I saw on Twitter that another batch of Lipkits and Glosses had been released. I gave it a try thinking "oh it probably will time out or I won't get a shade a like"; but about five minutes later I was jumping out of bed hunting down my credit card and ended up being the proud owner of a Kylie Lipgloss in the shade Like.

Currently I'm really loving brown toned nude shades so was pretty happy with my purchase, now the wait for it to be shipped from California as well as praying that I wouldn't get hit with any custom charges. Around two weeks after ordering, I came home to a white box with the black drips around the sides and instantly knew what was inside!

The gloss itself is really pigmented and super glossy, something that some other glosses I've tried don't seem to have. I had heard stories of the Kylie brushes being all frayed etc, however my brush seems to be okay and does apply the shade evenly. Like any other gloss though it does wear off after you eat or drink.

I've been pairing my gloss with MAC Brave underneath just for some added oomph and volume to my lips, because I'm after the Kylie pout of course.

Overall I do really like the gloss and it has made me want to try the Metal shades or one of the Lip Kits, but not sure I'll have the same luck as this time trying to get one.

Have you managed to get your hands on any of the Kylie Cosmetics products? What do you think of them? What shade do you like best?

Beauty | Next Beauty*

Last month I attend the Next Beauty event one night after work, where I got to see the gorgeous Lydia Millen show us how to create a daytime and evening look with the new beauty products that Next have released.

I was lucky enough to be sent a few items in the post a week later as the gift bags had run out when I left. I loved the look of a lot of the products, so was pretty excited to try out this lot.

The eyeshadow quads are beautifully packaged, as are all of the Next Beauty products in fact. The smoky eyeshadow quad can be used wet or dry, meaning you can create a really neutral daytime look or build up a smoky eye for the evening. Pairing that with the Perfect Look Eyeliner Pencil, which is super blendable to smoke out for your evening look.

Lip wise, I love both the lip products that I was gifted. The Sheer Chubby Stick in Cherry Red is really moisturising and has a great deep red colour perfect for a night out. The matte lipstick is in the shade Simply Peach and is great nude colour that has a peachy tone to it; hence the name!

Next Beauty also do a range of nail varnishes, I love the metallic matte shade and have worn it once already without any chips after around a week. The frosted blue shade is a little too bright for me but reminds me of Frozen so would be great for giving a little one a manicure to have nails like Elsa.

Overall I think Next Beauty have got some great products at really reasonable prices; I would also recommend trying the concealer and the highlighter stick as they both looked amazing on the night also. You can check out all the other products Next Beauty have here.

Have you tried any of the Next Beauty products? Will you be checking out what other products they have?
Let me know in the comments below.

*All items featured were gifted, however all views and thoughts are my own.

Beauty | April Favourites

Hi guys, it's been a while! I've had a few personal things going on last month that meant the blog got pushed to the back burner unfortunately; however I'm back and ready to share with you my beauty favourites from April.

I've been on a mission to make my hair grow after stalking all the amazing braid hairstyles on Pinterest; so I've been using Lee Stafford Hair Growth Shampoo & Conditioner to try and speed up the process. I'm lucky that my hair grows quite quick anyways but anything to give it that extra boost so I've got longer locks by July is a bonus and I do think that this stuff works pretty well.

So I somehow by chance managed to get my hands on a Kylie Cosmetics lipgloss one evening; I got the shade like, which is a deep brown/nude shade. The gloss is really pigmented for a gloss which I love as it means I can wear it on it's own or as well as layering it up with a nude lipstick underneath. More on this in post coming soon.

Lately I've been getting in from work quite late meaning sometimes my skincare routine is the last thing on my mind as I just want to eat some dinner and get into bed. These Nip + Fab Kale Fix Make Up Removing Cleansing Pads are the answer to my make removing woes; a few swipes and my make up is off. Okay it doesn't cleanse my skin as much as when I use my actual cleanser but it does the job on those nights when I can't be bothered!

Doing contour and highlight has been a favourite thing to do in my make up routine lately and I've found that the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer and the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop highlighter have been my go to products. I love the scent of the Too Faced bronzer which of course smells of chocolate but it also has a great matte finish which compliments the shimmer of the highlighter.

Lastly I've really enjoyed the L'Oreal Infallible Primer Matte Base; it really does prime your skin and give it a matte finish ready for applying your make up. I've also noticed that my make up has been staying on longer since introducing this to my make up routine.

What have you been loving in April? Have you tried any of my favourites from this month?
