Beauty | March Favourites

I don't know why but I really feel like March has dragged a little; I don't know if this is because I've been really busy this month or it's just felt like the longest month ever because I was waiting for Center Parcs and Easter Bank Holiday. Anyway it's time to share what beauty products I've been loving during March.

My contouring game has been upped lately with the introduction of L'Oreal Infallible Sculpt Contouring Palette and Contouring Base. This pair really gives you that contour defination that everyone is aiming for at the moment. The contouring palette goes to powder form when applied so you don't get that cakey look also!

Nude lipsticks are my favourites at the moment so I've been loving MAC Brave at the moment; it's the perfect pink toned nude for Spring time and lasts all day also. I also finally picked up Whirl lipliner from MAC and have been loving wearing this with Velvet Teddy.

I've finally found a new mascara that I'm in love with, L'Oreal Falsh Lash Sculpt! I've basically picked this up everyday as I love how much length it gives as well as how close you can get to your lash line. You can read more about the Infallible Sculpt Range here.

Lately I've found that my my scalp has been really itchy as well as flaking around the front of my head; so I decided to pick up and old trusty gem from Head & Shoulders. The itchy scalp shampoo does the trick and what makes it even better is the eucalyptus scent which really makes your head feel refreshed and also clean.

Clean and Clear Dual Action Moisturiser has really been helping clear up my blemish prone skin lately as well as being really hydrating. I find this great to use in the morning after cleansing and toning my skin.

What have you been loving in March? Have you tried any of my beauty faves from this month?

Beauty | Crownbrush 15 Colour Creme to Powder Foundation Palette

If you're looking to up your foundation/contour/concealer game then this palette from Crownbrush you need in your collection.

With 15 shades you will definitely find your right contour, highlight and blemish buster to get your make up looking Instagram worthy. What's great is that you can even blend shades to create that perfect shade for you if you are struggling.

The formula itself is really easy to blend and gives great coverage, it really is all you could want from a foundation. I love that it is a creme to powder as you don't get that cakey look that some creme foundations give you and you also get a great semi-matte finish.

This is a great palette if you are travelling quite a lot, especially if your skin tone is changing due to tanning etc or if you are a budding make up artist that's wanting to build up your kit.

Buy Here.

Have your tried the creme to powder foundation palette from Crownbrush? Have you tried any other products from them?

Beauty | Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm

I've said it before and I'll say it again, skincare is something I think you should invest in; so after seeing many another beauty bloggers raving about Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm I was desperate to try it.

This balm is super for getting all your make up and dirt off after a really long day; you can really feel it working its magic on your skin and know that it's totally cleansing your face. What makes this even more great is that you can slather this on your face and leave on for ten minutes giving yourself a cleansing face mask. It's really gentle on the skin also, perfect if you have sensitive skin.

Since using this in the evenings I've really noticed a difference in my skin; it looks brighter, clearer and more hydrated. So for the hefty price tag I would say that it's definitely worth it; the tub itself does last you quite a while as I've been using this for at least two months now and have barely made a dent in the top.

Buy Here - £38

Have you tried the Moringa Cleansing Balm? What do you think of it? Is it on your skincare wishlist?

Beauty | L'Oreal Infallible Sculpt

The new L'Oreal Infallible Sculpt range was something I was desperate to try out; when I heard that The Kardashian's make up artist had collaborated on it as well as Cheryl advertising the mascara. So when I saw that Superdrug had an offer for the Contour Base, Blush & Contour Palette for just £15.99, it was straight in my basket.

The contour base is extremely lightweight and gives you a good amount of coverage in preparation for the actual contour palette. This shade is the light-medium and for me it is a little light; but that is just me as I like a darker base to build on.

The actual contour palette is a cream to powder formula and really simple to use. There's a little guide included which tells you how to contour for all face shapes. Excellent for beginnings wanting to learn how to contour. The product itself is really blendable and you definitely gain those sculpted Kardashian cheekbones from using it.

The final face product, the blush, is quite shimmery; however you are going for some serious highlight here. Used with the other products it works perfectly and you have that contour healthy glow you see on all those Instagram pictures.

My favourite from the range is the mascara, the wand is made so you can get really into the tight line to "sculpt" your lashes to the full effect. You get length, curl and definition; which is everything you want for the perfect lash.

Have you tried L'Oreal Infallible Sculpt range? Which product is your favourite? What product are you wanting to try?

Beauty | Primark Beauty

The week before payday, I was sitting at my desk at work when I realised I had forgotten my make up bag and of course I had a meeting with a client that afternoon. So on my lunch break I decided to make a quick trip to Primark on Tottenham Court Road to see what beauty items they had that wouldn't break the bank.

Key items that I knew were needed: concealer, bronzer, blush and a lip colour; and surprisingly Primark came up trumps. I managed to bag that little lot plus a kabuki brush for under £10.

The concealer itself is quite light and reminds me of Collections Blemish stick I used to use when I was a teen; however for quick touch up under the eyes and any spots that need some cover it does the job. The bronzer is a definite dupe for the Seventeen shimmer bricks and for half the price; as you can see in the swatch it is quite shimmery. So go careful when applying unless you're going for the disco ball look.

I love the shade of the blush so much, it's perfect for transition from Winter to Spring and is actually quite pigmented for only costing £2.50. Finally the lip pencil/crayon was the ultimate winner for me, it is a for sure dupe for the Maybelline Colour Drama Lip Pencils and NARS Velvet Matte Pencils. This shade is just a subtle pink nude which is great to chuck in your handbag for lipstick emergencies.

Overall for the price Primark beauty does what it needs to for how much it costs. For me, I now keep it in my handbag all the time as my back up make up resource; excellent for when I have a last minute meeting or dinner date!

Have you tried anything from the Primark Beauty range? Is there any must haves I should pick up that are worth trying?

Lifestyle | The Rum Kitchen, Carnaby Street

At the end of each month my best girl friends and I have a little night out...
We each take it in turns to organise the night and there's no restrictions on what we do. So for my night at the end of January I decided to take us to a little restaurant just off Carnaby Street for some Jamaican delights at The Rum Kitchen.

The Rum Kitchen is located in Kingly Court, amongst all the twinkly lights and other restaurants and bars. The restaurant itself is very small, so I would advise making a reservation before going. The place itself has a really good feel and the decor makes it feel like a little shack off the beach in Jamaica.

Of course with it being Jamaican themed, the majority of the food is jerk spiced influenced. I went for the TRK Burger, however I did ask for the scotch bonnet mayo to be taken out because I can only handle so much spiciness. Along with a side of sweet potato fries to share this meal was super tasty. Of course some cocktails were had as well and being The Rum Kitchen, they were rum based. I went with the Rumbustion, which contained Kraken Rum, pineapple, coconut cream and orange bitters. It was a creamy delight and with it being happy hour and good three were had.

If your looking for somewhere a little different in London then I would highly recommend The Rum Kitchen, they also have another branch in Notting Hill.

Have you visited The Rum Kitchen? Is it on your must eat list for London?

Beauty | MAC X Ellie Goulding Halcyon Days Palette

I love MAC and I love Ellie Goulding, so it I was pretty excited when MAC announced their collaboration with the songtress herself.

This palette, entitled Halcyon Days after Ellie's second album, is perfect for on the go. It's a simple small box design with 4 highly pigmented cream bases on top and a matte powder underneath. Of course with it being MAC they are all super blendable and versatile.

The cream bases can double up for many uses as highlighters, eyeshadows and blush, with the matte powder being great for a contour shade. With the use of the 5 products you can really recreate that simple neutral pinky/peach tone that Ellie Golding is famous for.

Buy Here.

Have you tried the Halcyon Days palette from MAC? What are your thoughts?
