Lifestyle | October Love List ♥

I've decided to switch up my Monthly Favourites by doing Victoria from In The Frow Love List Tag. This way you still get to see some of the things I've loved this month but in a different way than usual.

What I Watched: The Following. I put this on, on a whim one Saturday when I was bored and I was hooked after 20 minutes in. I love Kevin Bacon in this show and the whole plot leaves you on the edge of your seat, I finished series one in practically a weekend.

What I Snapped: This amazing view of the Manhattan skyline.

Who I Loved: Hannah Gale - her blog posts this month have left me feeling all positive and motivated; as well as a chuckle every now and then.

What I Wore: This dress for my Best Friends Wedding. It's from ASOS and was perfect for an autumn wedding.

What I Did: There was two amazing things that happened this month. As previously mentioned my best friend got married and it was a perfect day! And of course going to New York last week was incredible (more on that trip next week)

What I Ate: Whilst in New York we visited Jack's Wife Freda for breakfast and it was amazing!!! I had a cheese filled sandwich with some other things in it and it was probably the best thing I ate the whole trip.

What I Drank: Probably mimosas whilst sailing on the Hudson River.

Where I Went: Well New York of course!! It was amazing and I can't wait to share more with you all next week about what I did, ate and bought!

What I Heard: One Direction - Perfect & Adele - Hello. These have been repeat on my Spotify throughout October.

What I Used: Eve Lom Travel size cleanser. I spent a lot of October staying over at friends or in hotels, so this travel size of the Eve Lom Cleanser was perfect. It's a dream to use and really gets your make up off.

What's been at the top of your love list this month? Let me know in the comments.

Beauty | The Balm Mary Lou Manizer Luminizer

Behold the greatest highlighter god created (well The Balm actually created it.) The Mary Lou Manizer Luminizer has become my holy grail highlighter since picking it up in CVS in America way back in July.

The product itself is really pigmented, as you can see from the swatch, as well as giving you that great I've just got back from an amazing summer holiday glow. I love using this on nights out to give me an extra shimmer and can see this being used a lot more over the Christmas period.

I'm really keen to now try other products from The Balm as this has been a great addition to my make up collection and a product I do not regret buying.

Have you tried Mary Lou Manizer Luminizer? What product from The Balm should I pick up next?

Travel | Planning For A Trip to NYC

New York was always on my bucket list of places to visit, what I can't quite believe is that I've been there twice this year. Once back in June, you can read more about that here, and currently right now!

This current trip is a lot different from the first, one because I'm with my mum and sister and two, I've got more than 24 hours to explore this time. So of course obsessive organisational freak Lola has come out in full force!
This trip basically revolves around two things, FOOD and of course BEAUTY SHOPPING, which are my two true loves in life so of course I want to explore them in one of my favourite cities. Don't worry there is some sightseeing included of course, but mostly Sephora and cakes.

New York is a big overwhelming city, especially if you haven't been before. So I wanted to make sure this trip was stress and fuss free, I'm one of those people who like to know what I'm doing and how to get there. So with that here's a few top tips for planning your big trip to New York City.

Decide What Top Sightseeing Spots You Want To Visit
Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, 9/11 Memorial...the list is endless of sightseeing spots in NYC, so decided what is your top must sees for the length of time you are there. For us this includes The Top of the Rock at The Rockefeller, 9/11 Memorial, Times Square and Statue of Liberty. With that we looked what was around each area to plan each day and what part of the city we would be spending it in.

Find some good restaurants
New York is full of amazing food, so I've spent a lot of time having a look at different places to go. I googled a few blog posts and had a look at some recommendations for breakfast as well as dinners. However do leave some evenings to just go with the flow and see where your feet take you.

Use Google Maps to see what shops are around certain areas
Dying to hit up Sephora or Victoria's Secret? If you know you're going to be visiting a certain spot, type it into google maps and you'll be able to see what shops are nearby. This has been an amazing tool for planning our trip as we've been able to tick off certain shops we all had on our lists to visit.

Other than that just wing it, New York is an amazing city to get lost in. There's always something that will blow you away each corner you turn.

Have you visited New York City? What would be your top must see?

Lifestyle | XLS-Medical Max Strength*

Since my big Trek America trip I've been trying to loose some weight. I've joined Slimming world and have seen some results, however I'm impatient and want results overnight. Something that's pretty hard when loosing weight.

So I've decided to give XLS-Medical Max Strength a go. XLS-Medical is a weight loss aid that reduces the calorie intake from carbohydrates, fat and even sugars. Something that I definitely need as I love sugary foods way too much. I weighed myself Saturday morning when I started to take the tablets and at the moment it's a little too early to say if I've seen any difference since taking them.
I will however be sharing my thoughts and results in a months time, to see if the tablets have worked for me.

Have you tried XLS-Medical Max Strength?
Let me know in the comments below.

Until Next Time...

*XLS-Medical Strength was given to review for free, all views are my own and wouldn't be on LLW if I didn't see fit.

Beauty | Autumn Essentials

As the seasons change so does make up and other beauty choices to match the weather. With that I thought I'd share some of my Autumn essentials that I find myself reaching for a lot more during this season.

Yves Rocher Cocoa & Orange Hand Cream
With the colder weather now here, your hands may suffer from dryness (I know mine certainly do.) Which is why having a great hand cream on you to keep them soft and hydrated. This one from Yves Rocher not only does that, but also smells incredible.

Rimmel Kate Moss 111 Kiss of Life
Nothing says Autumn more than a red lip and this one from Rimmel is perfect. It has a matte finish and is a nice bright red lip. Perfect for when your wearing all black and just need that pop of colour to take your outfit up a level.

Jo Malone Blackberry & Bay Cologne
This fragrance is Autumn in a bottle for me. It's a really fruity, musky fragrance that just makes me feel like I'm in the woods on a cold day.

MAC Rebel
Another go to lip shade for Autumn has to be a deep berry shade. This one from MAC has been a firm favourite of mine for a good few years. It looks great with a gold or bronze smoky eye and is really long lasting on the lips.

Caviar CC Cream 10 in 1 Complete Perfector Leave In Conditioner
As the weather gets colder I find the wind really batters my hair, meaning a leave in conditioner is something I use in my hair routine a lot during the Autumn months. This one is great it's really rich and hydrating on the ends of your hair; which makes it look super glossy and healthy.

St Tropez Gradual Tan In Shower
Just because Summer has gone doesn't mean your tan has to also. This gradual tan from St Tropez gives you that natural glow without that biscuit smell some other tans do. You can also apply this tanner in the shower meaning it gives you more time to watch Netflix.

What are your Autumn beauty essentials? Have you tried any of my essentials?

Beauty | My MAC Pro Palette

After about two years I have finally finished creating my own MAC Pro Palette! I pretty much use my palette every day and think it has been worth all the pennies and decisions over which colours to get.

As you can see from my colour choices, I tend to stick to the bronze/neutral shades with a few darker shades to mix it up. I find that I can create a really dramatic look when needed as well as something simple for everyday looks.

The pro palette contains 15 pans meaning you can really pick and choose which eye shadows you want to have in your collection. I've only just started to hit pan on some of the shades also; which just shows how long they last.

Shades in my pro palette:
(from left to right, top row to bottom)
Vanilla
All That Glitters
Honey Lust
Sumptous Olive
Amber Lights
Phloof!
Patina
Cranberry
Wood-Winked
Mythology
Naked Lunch
Bronze
Beauty Marked
Charcoal Brown
Coppering

I'm so tempted to start another Pro Palette as MAC have so many shades I'm still dying to try!

Have you tried any MAC eyeshadows? What shades are in your collection?

Lifestyle | My Best Friend's Wedding

Saturday was one of the most magical days I've every witnessed in my life so far! My best friend, Nicole got married to her lovely boyfriend of ten years, Danny! The day was amazing from start to finish (well what I can remember from the end) and I was so glad to be able to share their special day with them.

These are a few photos I took of the day that I wanted to share with you all. I'm actually pretty impressed with them especially by the evening as I had a few glasses of wine by then.

Lifestyle | A Life Update

You may have noticed LLW has been very quiet this last month, life just got too hectic meaning I didn't have time to focus on great content for you all.
After a whirlwind of emotions and settling back into life since returning from America, I had a lot I needed to sort out.
So what has been going on this last month? Well the main thing is that I started a brand new permanent job back up in London. I've been there for over a month now and it's challenging, but I am loving it. However the nearly two hour commute to and from work means I'm practically asleep by 9.30pm every night with no time to take part in Twitter chats or work on content for here or YouTube.
I'm slowly getting into more of a routine now, so I'm hoping that this can change and I can get back to posting four times a week on here as well as finally getting back into making YouTube videos for you all.

My weekends have also been pretty hectic throughout September. I've had two weddings, two hen parties, a company conference and organising for my upcoming trip to New York. During this I've enjoyed just stepping away from social media and enjoying each event in the moment, instead of through a camera. I also met up with my Trek America family in Portsmouth and went to see my main man Harry Styles at the One Direction concert.

However with New York now just over a week away, I know I want get back into sharing my travels and beauty finds with you all. So I'm planning on vlogging the trip, with each day being a vlog (that's 6 NYC vlogs coming your way soon) as well as a photo diary of the trip and hauls etc. Cause let's face it a lot of beauty shopping is going to happen!

So that's what has been keeping me busy lately; however I'm going to be back in full swing now ready to share lots of new content!

What have you been up to lately? Is there anything in particular you'd like me to share from my trip to New York?
Let me know in the comments below.
