Travel | Trek America Countdown #8

And we come to my final monthly countdown before heading off! So what have I done this month to prepare?

Well the first thing big thing was that I handed my notice in to leave my job! AHHHH!!! This was filled with mixed emotions as it means the trip is actually happening as well as me not having a job when I do return. I've been at my job for over 5 years and it's my first proper job since leaving University so I know in 2 weeks it's going to be hard to say goodbye even though I know it's the right thing to do for myself right now.

I've also been starting to panic I wont have enough money for spending whilst there. I know realistically I will have but I don't want to limit myself with not be able to do things towards the start of the trip so I have enough money towards the end of the trip. I'm lucky enough that my parents have offered to give me some money towards spending however I want to go and for once not have to think about money at all; but also need to make sure I have some money when I come back from America. So this weekend I've been putting some bits on Depop to sell, just to get some extra pennies in. So if you see anything you fancy head over to my Depop and buy, it would be greatly appreciated.

Today I also started the task of filling up my case with some bits that I want to bring with me. You may be like why are you doing this now? Well I do want to try and get a "Pack With Me" video filmed for you guys before I go, as I've found from reading other Trek America blogs and speaking to people they've found packing the hardest thing because of the range of activites as well as length of time away. So subscribe to my YouTube to make sure you see that video!

Also the TrekLive trek group went live this month, this confirmed who was booked on my trek. As the Coast to Coast South trek is half of the Trailblazer it only shows Emma, Bianca and myself doing this hald of the tour. However I have checked and the other people who I have been talking to, that are doing the full Trailblazer are also going to be in our group. The excitment levels between us are rising everyday!

I've pretty much got everything crossed off my to do list now in regards to insurance, currency card, sim cards etc. so I'm feeling pretty organised and calm about the trip itself. Only thing left is to book the airport hotel for Emma and I tomorrow and then I can sit back and relax until next month!

So that is all my countdown posts done! I will be posting one more blog post about how I'm actually feeling the day I go so you all know the level of excitment/nerves I'm feeling.

Have you got any travel tips to share? Where would like to visit most that's on my trek?
Let me know in the comments.

Until Next Time...
