Fashion | Ways To Wear With George At Asda*

I'm currently trying to pack for America, meaning I need to fit 5 weeks worth of clothes in my holdall and it be under 23kg. This means I need to think of ways to recycle outfits to get multiple looks out of one piece.

The team over at Talented Talkers got in touch when they saw my panic of "how the hell am I going to pack for that long!" and hooked me up with the lovely people at George at Asda. They set me a challenge of creating a capsule wardrobe for my holiday all based around one "hero" item that I could style into three outfits!

So these are my three looks that I've created.

Beach Wear
Spending the day lazing by the pool? I find it's easier to chuck on something lightweight but flattering; this frill top dress is my perfect! Also the kimono is great for putting over your bikni when you need to quickly pop to the bar or perhaps getting a little sunburnt. Pairing this with some rose gold aviators and pale pink diamante sandals.

Sightseeing
Of course when you're away you want to take in some sight; and if you're planning on a lot of walking then you want to be comfy! Once again my trusty black dress that is on trend with the frill top, paired with a white denim jacket to keep you warm if it starts to get chilly. I love the aztec bucket bag with the red pom pom detailing and with the white flower pumps; this is the ultimate comfy sightseeing outfit when abroad.

Evening Out
Nothing is better than a LBD for an evening out & this dress is perfect for an evening out on holiday. Paired with the white strappy heeled sandals and the white clutch bag; this is a great look for a dinner date or few drinks at your hotel bar.

The total cost of all the items come to £100.50; which I think is a bargain for three outfits which you can mix and match different items with to create more!

Which is your favourite look? How do you pack for holidays to create capsule pieces?

Beauty | 5 Eyeliners You Need

Eyeliner is something that is a must in my book for creating a completed look, I always feel naked with out a bit of eyeliner on! So it's safe to say my eyeliner collection is quite large now. I want to share 5 eyeliners that I think you need in your collection, well at least one of them anyway.

This eyeliner is perfect for creating winged/cat eye look. It has a really thin flexible nib as well as it being waterproof which means no smudging; especially now it's hay fever season! It's also really great as you can get the nib really close to the lash line meaning you can create a really neat line.

Gel eyeliner is always a bit touch and go for me; however this gel eyeliner from Hourglass is epic! The nib is so tiny that you can get right in there to create flicks and know that it's not going to budge what so ever! You can find out more about this eyeliner here.

Now if you're looking for an eyeliner that doesn't break the budget and creates amazing winged eyeliner, than this one from Collection is the greatest! I'm sure most of you have heard every blogger and their mother rave about how great this and I urge you if you've got £3 in your pocket and haven't tried this than pick it up now. I've been using this a lot as of late and just love the look it gives!

This a firm favourite pencil of mine that I find is great for applying along the waterline when you're wanting a more dramatic, smoky eye look. The kohl is really dark and gives great definition to the eye. What's even more great about this eyeliner is that on the other end it has a silver shade that is great for highlighting the inner corners of your eyes.

A great liquid eyeliner that does what it says on tin, its mega! It gives a really chunky line which is great for high drama looks. It's also pretty much smudge proof which is always a plus. The shape of the nib is great for getting in tight across the lid; as well as giving a great flick.

Have you tried any of the above eyeliners? Are you a liquid, gel or kohl fan? What's your top eyeliner?

Lifestyle | I've Quit My Job...Now What?

Friday saw me leave my job of five years! It was a day filled with mixed emotions; I was ecstatic that it meant America is just round the corner, I was scared as it meant I'm now unemployed for hopefully only two months and I was a bit sad to say goodbye to my first proper job.

However I feel that now is the right time for me to say goodbye & take the next step in my life. My time at my old job was filled with great memories as well as bad ones personally; maybe one day I'll share those on here and how I dealt with it but for right now I finally feel at peace that door has closed and I can finally move forward.

So now what? Well obviously America is happening in 9 days time and after that, well I'm not sure right now! If I love the time I spend travelling then I intend to come back find a job for the rest of the year and save up to do some more travels Asia way. If I find that the travel bug inside of me has gone, then it will be try and find that job I've always wanted (right now I do not know what that is) and then start saving to finally move out.

At the moment I'm just all round excited and nervous about America that I can't even think really about what I will do when I get back. I have sat down though and worked out how much I can live on a month as well just giving my CV a tidy up, so I can start putting feelers out when I get back as I've got some contacts in recruitment.

But for now I'm looking forward to seeing where the next chapter of my life takes me and what it brings!

Have you ever quit your job with no plan? What's your dream job?

Beauty | Rimmel Good To Glow

It's that time of year now when we all want the dewy, glowing, sun kissed look, that those supermodels seem to have on a daily basis. Yeah I'm looking at you Gigi Hadid & Karlie Kloss! But how oh how do you get this look on a budget, well this product from Rimmel seems to have answered your prayers.

Rimmel Good To Glow Highlighter is a liquid highlighter that works perfectly mixed in with your foundation or buffed in over the top (which I tend to prefer to do, just to get the right amount of coverage & glow) This is in the shade Nottingham Hill Glow, and is a really light pink with a light highlight sheen. It's great for the subtle glow but you can also build it up across the cheekbone if you want that ultimate bronze goddess look. For under £5 this is a great dupe for NARS Copacabana highlighter, so would definitely recommend picking this up if you cant afford the likes of NARS at the moment.

Have you tried Rimmel's Good To Glow Highlighter? What's your favourite product to use for highlighting?

Lifestyle | A Day at Rugby 7s

This is a bit of an odd thing to be talking about on here today, but I thought I'd share with you what I got up to on Saturday with my two besties.

Now I'm not big on sport at all, like I know what football team is which and can tell you a few things about golf but other than that you won't find me watching Sky Sports all night on transfer deadline day, like an ex boyfriend of mine did once. However Saturday I headed off to Twickenham stadium to watch The Rugby 7s. I went last year and it was such a fun day, that when I was asked if I wanted to go again this year I instantly said yes! Each year there is a fancy dress theme and this year was Galaxy/Space; which proved quite difficult to come up with an idea. After an evening meeting scrolling through pinterest we decided to go with something simple and really go to town on the face paint.

Here's some photos of the day!!

It was such a fun day and the atmosphere at Twickenham is just great, even if you're not a Rugby fun you can't help but get caught up in all the singing and chanting!

We got stopped quite a lot and asked for photos by strangers at Waterloo as they loved our costumes! I think for a last minute job we did quite good, especially as the head pieces were made at like 10pm on the Friday night!

Have you ever been to Rugby 7s? What do you think of the fancy dress?

Beauty | Soap & Glory Face Soap & Clarity 3 In 1 Daily Detox Vitamin C Facial Wash

Following on from Friday's post about my bad blemish breakout of late, I've recently upped myself to a double cleanse in the evenings to really clear this breakout. I currently use a cream cleanser, Ultrabland from Lush, so decided I need a foaming cleanser to really take my make up off.

Soap & Glory's Face Soap & Clarity 3 in 1 Daily Detox Vitamin C Facial Wash, ticked the boxes for me! It foams up great, smells amazing and really gets the daily dirt and grim off my face. I've also found that it's really reviving on the skin when you use in the morning, as it really wakes you up. It contains natural superfruit Yuzu, which I have no idea what it is but I'm loving the smell it gives the product as well as the results it is giving my skin! Also how amazing is the colour of the facial wash?

Have you tried Soap & Glory's Face Soap & Clarity? Have you used any other of  Soap & Glory's big clean products?

Beauty | La Roche-Posay Serozinc

As of late my skin seems to be having a big fat breakout! Like seriously why now? So on a recent trip to Boots I was on a hunt for something that would really help keep my blemishes at bay. This is when I decided to pick up La Roche-Posay Serozinc, I've only heard good things about this toner water since it's been released in the UK a few months ago.

The light toner mist is great, it really feels like you're only spray a splash of water across your face as well as it being really refreshing. I recommend spraying across your face in lines, leaving for a few minutes to sink in and then dab any excess off with a cotton pad.

Your skin will instantly feel hydrated and fresh, as well as clean! Which I sometimes find hard to find with some products if they have too many chemicals and just push your make up around your face instead of taking it off. Serozinc has really helped clear up my breakouts and kept my oily T-Zone at bay as well, making my make up look even more flawless!

Have you tried Serozinc? What's your go to product for keeping blemishes at bay?

Lifestyle | 5 Things That Made Me Happy In April

I really enjoyed last month's post as it made me think about what things put a smile on my face throughout March, so I've decided to share with you all again 5 things that made me happy in April.

1. Seeing McBusted at The O2
Way back at the beginning of April some of the gang and I went to see our favourite manband McBusted. After enjoying last year so much we knew we had to go again; and we had such a good time! Lots of drinks, food, dancing and singing happened, all whilst pretending to play an air guitar.

2. The first BBQ of the year
My friends and I all had an impromptu get together one Saturday evening which we decided to light up the BBQ and get some drinks flowing. This really got us excited for the summer as we love a BBQ and just hanging out with each other.

3. Mexican Girls Night
For my friend Jenny's birthday we decided to have a little Mexican themed evening and all brought along a dish to eat. It was so nice and chilled and all the food was so yummy!

4. Going to Liverpool
At the end of April I took a little trip up to Liverpool for my friend Danielle's birthday. It was nice to get out of London/Essex for the weekend and see what sights and sounds Liverpool had to offer.

5. Watching my old Dance School's Show
I'm not sure if I mentioned on here before that my university degree is actually in Dance and I also used to teach at my local dance school for a few years before an injury meant I had to give it up. I went along this year to watch their annual show "Uptown Funk" and I really enjoyed myself. Everyone did so good and it was amazing to see girls who I used to teach come so far in their performance and technique.

And those are the things that really made me smile in April.

What made you really happy in April?

Beauty | Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Fragrance Mist

One of my favourite collections from Soap & Glory is their Sugar Crush range, for the last two years I've been repurchasing the shower gel and body buttercream constantly. The fragrance is the ultimate summer scent for me and reminds me of my holiday to Ibiza. The sweet hint of limes with vanilla is just right up my street. I often found that I really wished they had a body spray or perfume so you could spritz yourself with the scent everyday.

Well it looks like my wish has been answered as Soap & Glory have brought out three new products in the Sugar Crush range. A body spray, body lotion and a fragrance mist! As soon as I heard this I was running all the way to my nearest Boots to pick myself up the fragrance mist! It doesn't disappoint at all! That exact sweet lime and vanilla scent comes through with the fragrance and it lasts pretty much all day!

If you love the Soap & Glory Sugar Crush scent then you really need to pick this up! I know I'll be getting the body lotion for my trip to America to layer up the scent even more!

Travel | Liverpool City Guide with Travelodge*

If you've seen my latest YouTube video, you will know that last weekend I was lucky enough to be invited by Travelodge to go stay at their Liverpool Central Exchange Street Hotel for two nights. So I decided to take my friend Danielle on a little pre Birthday trip up north for a weekend away.

The hotel was really great and had everything we needed! The bed was oh so comfy, especially as I was feeling a tad ill on the Friday night with sinusitis so was so glad to get a really good nights sleep in the bed! The staff were great and very attentive, we even had our room tidied and bed made on the Saturday morning! Also don't even get me started on the breakfast! This was just ideal, especially Sunday morning after a night out on the Liverpool cobbles.

So what did we get up to in Liverpool? Well Friday evening we headed to Jamie's Italian for some dinner and drinks. I was so excited to try one of the sharing platters as well as a tasty main; however just after tucking into the sharing platter for starters I came over feeling incredibly ill that when the waitress brought out my main I couldn't even take a bite out of my steak. What I will say though is that the waitress was incredible; she spoke to her manager who actually took the cost of my main off the bill as I hadn't even touched it. I felt so bad as it looked so tasty but I just felt horrid that I couldn't face eating it. (This is also why there's no pictures of the restaurant or the food, bad blogger over here!)

Saturday we got up and headed out at around 10.30ish, taking a stroll down to the docks to have a look at a The Maritime Museum & The Beatles Exhibition. The weather wasn't that great so we did have to make a run for it to the museum to avoid the torrential rain!

As someone who isn't a big fan of The Beatles I was a bit hesitant at handing over £15 for the exhibition; however I actually really enjoyed it and would recommend that if you are ever in Liverpool to visit the museum as it is well worth the money.

After that we headed to get something small for lunch as we weren't that hungry. We actually ended up in a Slug & Lettuce surrounded by stag & hen parties; that definitely got us in the mood for going out that evening. But before heading back to the hotel we decided to have a little look in the shops Liverpool One had to offer. I actually spent nearly an hour in the River Island there as it was massive, cue me buying a skirt that I didn't really need! The shopping was amazing there, so many shops and not enough time!

Then it was back to the room to have a little relax, whilst tucking into a pizza from the Hotel Bar and watching BGT. After getting changed and glammed up we hit the streets to see what the Liverpool night life is like. We headed down to Concert Square and enjoyed a few drinks in Modo, Walkabout & Revolution to name a few, all whilst dancing the night away till the early hours of Sunday!

Then it was time to head back home and pretty much sleep for the whole entire Sunday!

I want to say a big thanks to the people over at Talented Talkers for setting this collaboration with Travelodge up!

Have you ever visited Liverpool? What's your favourite thing to do there?
