YouTube | April Favourites

Another month flying by, which means it's of course time to share with you my April Favourites. Once again another mixed bag for you; some beauty, fashion, TV and more to share with you all.

If you are unable to watch the embedded player click here to watch.

Beauty Favourites
- L'Oreal Infallible 24H Matte Foundation One of the best foundations I've used in a very long time, great coverage and staying power.
- Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer This has been a god send for covering my breakout this month.
- Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara A mascara that is slowly knocking Rimmel's Wonderfull off the top spot with me.
- Maybelline Colour Drama Velvet Lip Crayons in Nude Perfection & Red Essential - slowly becoming my go to lip colours as they are so long lasting and have great colour payoff.
- Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Laque in Rose on the Rocks - a great your lips but better gloss for general day to day wear
- Lush Prince Charming Shower Gel (Valentines Limited Edition) - a great spring scent that just makes showering even better

Fashion Favourites
- Primark Cowl Neck Sleeveless Crepe Top in Black and White - A really versatile top that I've got so much wear out of & for £7 it's a bargain too.

Random Favourites
- The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 - This series just keeps getting better & the film lived up to my expectations the book set.
- Scandal - One of the best TV series I've watched in a while, it covers everything from politics, romance and high drama. Guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat.
- Maroon 5, Sugar - a song that has been constantly stuck in my head all of April, but instantly puts me in a good mood.

What has been your top favourite this April? Are any of my favourites yours?

Food | Quick & Easy Guacamole Recipe

Last Friday the girls and I got together to have a night in, Mexican themed. The idea was we all brought a dish and some drinks & just had a good old natter.
I decided to whip up a bowl of Guacamole as I knew we would be making nachos as well as digging into some tortilla chips also.

This recipe is super easy, super quick and most importantly super tasty. I'm dreaming of it now!

  1. Pulverise the tomato to a pulp, then tip into a bowl. To do this I used a blender and just pulsed, you can alternatively do this on a chopping board with a knife. Halve and stone the avocados (saving a stone) and use a spoon to scoop out the flesh into the bowl with the tomato.
  2. Tip all the other ingredients into the bowl, then season with salt and pepper. Use a whisk to roughly mash everything together. If not serving straight away, sit a stone in the guacamole (this helps to stop it going brown), cover with cling film and chill until needed. Scatter with the coriander, if using, then serve with tortilla chips

And that's pretty much it! Get some tortilla chips and tuck in!!

What's your favourite Mexican food?

Fashion | Specspost Sunglasses*

The sun is finally making an appearance, which means it's time to dig out my favourite fashion accessory; SUNGLASSES!
The world is a much clearer place when you've got your sunnies on, cause you can see of course!

The guys over at Specspost got in touch when they heard about me heading to America and needing some sunglasses for the trip and asked if I wanted to pick out some pairs. Of course I said yes!

Specspost are an online glasses company based in the UK who specialise in fashion/geek glasses, petite glasses and prescription sunglasses. With Specspost you can pick up to three pairs of glasses/sunglasses to try on (up to the value of £45 each.) They are then posted out to you to try on and get friends/family opinions of what looks best before making a decision, you then post back the glasses along with your payment and keep the pair that you've fallen head over heels with.

Hacienda Petite Clubmaster - £34.99

Baleares Clubmasters Present Tiesto Sunglasses - £29.99

Alexa Chung Style Retro Sunglasses - £30.00
I picked out three pairs that are all of similar styling, I find this shape of glasses suit me the best as I have quite a round face. After much umming and ahhing, looking in the mirror and asking a few friends; I decided that the Balares Clubmasters Present Tiesto Sunglasses were the ones that I loved the most and felt suited me the best.

I love the chic look they have being all black with the gold trim around the bottom of the lenses. They are also that classic RayBan style of look which I love but can't bear to part with the cash for; so this pair are a great alternative for me.

If you're needing a pair of sunglasses or even prescription glasses then check out Specspost, as they may have what you are looking for!

Which pair of sunglasses do you think suit me best? Have you tried Specspost?

*The items in this post were sent to me to review, of course all opinions are true and would not be on LLW if I didn't think the product suited this blog.

Lifestyle | 5 YouTubers You Need To Be Watching

YouTube is something I watch on a daily basis now, I find myself watching YouTube way more than normal TV and will be up till the late hours finding new channels that I end up binge watching! Today I want to share with you all 5 YouTubers that I love and think you need to have in your subscription box cause big things are sure to come there way soon!

Here are my 5 favourites and why I love them...

Brogan Tate xo
I really look forward to Monday evening's now as it's time for Brogan's weekly vlogs. Her vlogs are always true to her life and she doesn't sugarcoat it, giving us the impression she lives that perfect YouTuber life. Watching the way Brogan has dealt with personal issues over the last few months as been amazing, she is someone who definitely lives up to the phrase "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" Brogan also throws in some other videos including hauls etc which showcases her personality to a tee.

Shivon Johnstone
Where to start with the skills this girl has when it comes to make up? Shivon is my go to gal when it comes to watching make up tutorials, especially for dramatic colourful eye shadow. All her tutorials are informative and easy to watch, as well as giving you the urge to dig out all your palettes and where all the make up possible on your face. Shivon is also one of those people that what you see is what you get, I've met Shivon a few times and she a dime a dozen! What makes it worse is that she's even more stunning in person then on the internet!! If you're looking for make up tutorials she is your girl!!

HollySamanthaa
Holly Samanthaa was a recommendation through Shivon when I was on the hunt for some new YouTube talent and I'm so happy I hit that subscribe button. Holly Samanthaa uploads a weekly vlog on her Vlog Channel which include snippets of her little girl, who is currently learning to walk as well as general day to day life. Her main channel is a mix of extremely good make up tutorials as well as baking videos that will leave your mouth drooling!

Ellie's Ramblings
If you love Disney then Ellie's videos are right up your street. At the moment Ellie is giving us all a little insight into her trip to Disneyland Paris through vlogs as well sharing her tips for making the most out of your trip. What I love about Ellie is that she comes across so down to earth in her videos that it feels like your just having a little chit chat with a friend. I can't wait to see how her Channel grows over the rest of the year also.

Sam & Nia
If daily vloggers are what get you going then let me introduce you to my new favourite family, Sam, Nia, Symphony & Abram. You may recognise them from the viral video of Good Looking Parents Sing Frozen, after that success they've now been daily vlogging for just over a year. If you just want to sit back and have a little look at what life is like for this family daily then hit that subscribe button and get watching!

So go get subscribing to all the above channels, I'm sure at least one of them will tickle your fancy!
