Lifestyle | 5 Things That Made Me Happy In March

The end of March is nearly here! Like where is this year going?? Not that I mind cause it means we are getting closer to America and my jam packed Summer!

So I thought I would give you a little glimpse into 5 things that have made me happy during March, so you can get to know me a little better and see what things bring a smile to my face!

1. Celebrating Birthdays of some very close friends.
At the beginning of March a big party was thrown to celebrate two birthdays and the end of a dancing competition that I helped out with. It was a night to let our hair down and help Aimee and Nicola celebrate turning a year older. Safe to say the next day my head was a little worse for wear.

2. Pizza Prosecco Pamper PJ Party
As Emma and I are trying to save money for America, we decide it's probably best we had a night in. Queue our 4P's party! We made homemade pizzas, enjoyed a bottle or two of prosecco with our other friend Sam and Emma's sister Aimee; all whilst binge watching the latest series of Catfish. It was so nice just to chill and chat all things girly!

3. Paying off Trek America
Earlier today I paid the final balance of my trip to America!! After months of pouring my wages into paying bits off as well as saying no to different things I feel so relieved that it's all paid for! I haven't once had to ask someone to borrow money to pay off bits each month; which makes me proud! I paid for it all myself out of my hard earned wages and can't wait for the trip to happen now.

4. A little weekend away
As you're reading this I'm currently on the train to Wellingborough to spend the weekend with my bestie from work, Danielle. I can't wait just to get out of London/Essex for a bit and enjoy sometime away from the office with Danielle. We plan to go see Insurgent as well as getting a little bit merry tomorrow evening! It would be rude not to, as the drinks are apparently dirt cheap up there!

5. Having a wardrobe clear out
With America coming and some extra cash being helpful, I decided to have a massive wardrobe spring clean. I booked a day off work and was ruthless! Shoes from my days at uni were chucked as well as two massive bags of items to go on eBay/depop collected. Can someone let me know which is best to sell them on? I can now fit more things in my wardrobe, however at the moment no money is being spent on clothes due to getting more spends for America.

What made you happy in March? Would you like to see a post like this every month?

Fashion | MissGuided Wish List

As my trip to America approaches I'm starting to lust over items of clothing that I need, would like to get before I go. However the bank balance at the moment is all about saving for spending money meaning everything needs to go on a wishlist!! (insert crying emjoi face here)

Today I want to share with you some items from MissGuided that I have been staring at for weeks! I love them so much that they are saved in my camera roll on my phone!

Feather Print Tassel Plunge Playsuit £25 - High Neck Lace Bralet £24 - Crochet Fringe Vest £22
Lace Halterneck Drawstring Playsuit £35 - Floral Cut Out Skater Dress £40
As you can see I'm loving the 70s/fringing look that is in for this summer!! I so desperately want to get my hands on at least one maybe two of the items. I'm currently on the hunt for a dress for Vegas so if you've got any suggestions of good websites with reasonable priced dress let me know!

What is your favourite on my MissGuided wish list? Which one should I add to my basket on payday on Friday?

Beauty | Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief

Moisturiser was something I rarely used to think about or use; however recently I've realised how important moisturiser is, not only to give your skin a boost but also to get the best results from your make up.

I've been on the hunt for a good moisturiser for a while now, that really gives me skin the hydration that it needs. After seeing a few people talk about Clinique's Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief and rave at the results I thought I needed to give this a whirl.

The moisturiser itself is a gel like texture, meaning it doesn't feel as heavy as what some cream moisturisers do. A little goes a long way with this product, meaning that even though it is a bit pricey (currently retails at £34) you will get a good few months worth out of the pot.

The product itself really does what it says, it gives your skin that thirst relief it needs! You can literally feel your skin drinking up as it sinks in. It also makes your face feel super smooth and looks fully hydrated. This is really good for after flying, being ill or a night out; times when your skin really has that dull dehydrated look that isn't flattering at all.

I can't wait to take this away with me for when I go travelling in June, as I know my skin is going to be taking a bit of a battering from all the weather conditions, travelling and late nights/early starts. I can see it being a beauty lifesaver for me.

Have you tried Clinique's Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief? What do you think of it?

Beauty | Kiko Cosmetics Universal Fit Hydrating Foundation

Kiko Cosmetics isn't a brand that I've tried very much from. However on a trip to Spain way back in January now, I was wondering around one of their stores admiring all the amazing make up when I stumbled across what was a new foundation that they had brought out.

At the time I was on the hunt for a new everyday foundation that was in the middle of high street and high end, so being that it was priced in euros I slung a bottle, after comparing many swatches of shades on my hand, into my basket.

The Universal Fit Hydrating Foundation from Kiko Cosmetics is my new all time favourite foundation! It has nearly beaten out my Estee Lauder Double Wear, that is how much this product has changed my make up and life! It's all you could ever want from a foundation! Hydrating to the skin? Check! Good coverage? Check! Long lasting? Check! I mean what more could you want?

I've found that this foundation has lasted me all day, even through a gym workout and I still have some left on my face when it comes to removing my make up before bed! What makes this foundation even better is the price tag, at just a mere £6.90 you just can't go wrong. Kiko also offer a range of shades in the foundation, I'm currently using 07 Medium Beige and it's such a good match for me.

If you're looking for a new foundation that doesn't break the bank and gives great results, then I highly recommend you pick this up ASAP because it is a game changer!

Have you tired the universal fit hydrating foundation? Have you tried any other products from Kiko Cosmetics I need to try?

Beauty | Night Out Beauty Essentials

A night out on the town is something that rarely happens for me at the moment, with saving for America I'm spending more time refreshing Netflix then holding up the bar. However last month actually saw me venture on a night out, not once but twice!!

With that I thought I would share with you guys my night out beauty essentials. Those key items that you just need in your handbag encase of a make up emergency.

Zoeva Rose Gold Powder Brush - The Body Shop Honey Bronzer - Rimmel Stay Matte Translucent Powder - MAC Heroine Matte Lipstick - NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla

I like to keep it basic and tend not to take anything that is too expensive! Cause we all know what happens after one two many vodka, lime and sodas now, don't we? I only take one brush with me for my powder and bronzer, this Zoeva brush is really great as it applies product well as well as being mor compact than the Real Techniques powder brush.
You of course need some powder with you in your bag, just to keep that shine away after working up a sweat on the dancefloor, especially if you're making eyes with someone across the room. Don't want a sweaty T-zone now do we? This one from Rimmel is a sure fire winner and doesn't break the bank either! And just to add a bit of colour back to your cheekbones, chuck a bronzer in your bag as well to keep up that Kim Kardashian-West contour look.
Of course during the day before your night out, a massive huge spot/zit will appear on your face! I mean this is just plain logic right? So your going to need a good industrial concealer to keep that blemish hidden, just to give you that confidence boost you need to talk to the cute barman. My concealer of choice is NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer; however a good high street dupe which I also highly recommend is Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. This works just as good, maybe even better!!
Your lipstick of course is going to need to be reapplied throughout the night, what with sipping on drinks and chatting away to people; you are going to want those lips to be just as well applied as when you first put it on. I love a bold lip for a night out and you'll often find me reaching for this shade from MAC.

So those are my night out beauty essentials! What beauty items do you keep in your bag on a night out? Let me know in the comments below.

Changes to Lola's Little Wonders!

Friday evening saw me sit down over Skype with Rebecca-Louise from Autumn Leaves for a free blog consultation! Now you may have noticed the last month I haven't really had my heart into blogging with posts being sporadic and with not much effort put into them. So sitting down with Rebecca-Louise felt like the right thing to do and came along at the right time for me.

I've nearly been blogging on this little site for two years now! Something that was meant to take my mind off a tough time turned into something more and something I do love to do. I just feel like that something is lacking. So with that I've decided to decrease the amount I post, to create better content & so I can enjoy life instead of being chained to my computer churning out posts every other day.

So what does that mean for you guys? Well it means three posts a week now, Monday, Wednesday & Fridays at 7.30pm there is going to be a new post up on LLW. Sundays will see a new YouTube video go live at 4.30pm. Due to this I feel like I can enjoy my weekends more, as well as find more lifestyle things etc to blog about for you guys.

It's hard working a full time job 9-6, Monday to Friday and then doing all the other things that come along with blogging. Twitter promo, twitter chats, engaging with the community, instagramming content, editing photos, brain storming posts, I could go on!! Unless you yourself are a blogger or YouTuber you don't get how much effort is needed to see your little space on the internet grow. And that's what I want to see LLW do, grow! Grow into something amazing, that when I'm old I can look back on and think boy my 20s were wild & I spent way too much on make up

Rebecca-Louise gave me the injection I needed to make changes and hopefully see a great outcome from them! I would so recommend checking out this post from Rebecca-Louise if you're feeling the same way I was, as if you do love your little hobby or just want more from your blog she is great at giving the advice to be better.

Have you felt stuck in a blogging rut? What did you do to get yourself out of it?

Travel | Trek America Countdown #6

Wow! I now have 3 months left until I head off, I can't believe how quick it is coming it round and my list of things to get sorted before I go seems to be increasing by the second. Getting my phone unlocked, sorting out a hotel for Heathrow the night before, deciding on which simcard to get as well fifty billion other things. But I'll get there, once the trip is paid off next month I think my butt will finally get in gear to sort out all these other things.

So what has happened in the month of February to get me prepared and excited, not much to be honest as life has just been crazy hectic with other things happening. I did however manage to make a few essential purchases on Monday that I thought would be super useful.

Lucy Mecklenburgh Be Body Beautiful
Helping me on my quest to get fitter for America I decided to purchase Lucy Mecklenburgh's book as I've heard so much good stuff about it. Especially recipes for meals and smoothies. With my gym game now upped to 3-4 times a week, I feel that my diet needs a bigger kick to give me the results I'm wanting.

Waterproof Packing Cubes
My main worry is how the hell am I going to live out of a suitcase for 5 weeks, I can just about manage when I go V Festival and when I went to Thailand for 2 weeks. That's when I stumbled across this genius idea on Travel Sassy's blog. Packing cubes! These are going to be great for keeping tops, shorts, dresses separate; making it super easy to find items of clothing I'm wanting to wear as well as keeping my clean stuff away from my washing. They are also waterproof which is an extra bonus to stop my stuff getting damp!

LED Head Torch
This I've been told from various sources is a must for nights whilst camping. It means both my hands can be free whilst rummaging in my case for my pjs or cleanser; as well as lighting my way to the toilet if I need to walk far. Not really looking forward to that bit I must say.

Transcend 32 GB SD Memory Card
Now as you all know and have requested I will be vlogging and blogging about my trip! So I'm starting my collection of memory cards as I don't want anything to be missed. I currently work off a 16GB card and find that this stores so much video footage and photos, so decided to up the memory to 32 this time. I'll definitely be purchasing a few more memory cards before I go, just to be safe!

Two Port Car Charger
The only way to charge stuff whilst on the move so much is through a car charger so I decided to pick this one up as it has two ports in it meaning I can charge two things at once! I do have my EasyAcc Portable Charger also but obviously this will need charging now and again to keep the juice in my cameras, phone and iPad flowing.

As were starting to get closer to the date now, I want to hear from you guys what posts or videos you want to see on LLW regarding my trip before I go? So please let me know in the comments.

91 days left to go...
