Lifestyle | December on Lola's Little Wonders

So tomorrow is December, that means the countdown to Christmas is on!! I just wanted to write this post so you will all know what is happening regarding posts and videos over on my channel.
There is still going to be a post every other day happening, which are pretty much all Christmas related some way or another, also I will be attempting Vlogmas. However I won't be vlogging everyday, as most days I will be stuck at work doing boring stuff, but I will be weekly vlogging and over the weekends.
This means that my Wednesday main video is now moving to Sunday as off next week and the weekly vlogs will be up on Wednesday, both will be up for 5pm.

So that's what will be happening over here for the next month!!

Beauty | The Red Lipstick Edit

A red lip used to fill me with dread, it instantly reminded me of my days as a dancer caking on a thick red lipstick before going on stage. Now a red lip for me is essential, get the right tone of colour and you're onto a winner. Especially now it's winter I find myself wearing a red lip more and more during the day rather than just at night.

I want to show you guys the red lipsticks I have in my lipstick stash and how they all differ in shades/tones.

MAC Viva Glam I - Make Up Revolution I Worked For It - Rimmel 111 Kiss of Life - Barry M 127 - Lush Cosmetics Powerful

As you can see all the reds in my collection vary in tone, from the pillar box red of Barry M's 127 to a more burgundy red of Make Up Revolution's I Worked For It. At the moment I've really been loving wearing MAC's Viva Glam as it has a matte finish and looks great when creating an ombre lip colour.

Lush Cosmetics' Poweful is also super hydrating and has a hint of gold in it, making it a great Christmas party lip colour.  Rimmel's Kiss of Life is that inbetween red colour, that I generally reach for when I'm wanting a not so bright pillar box red but still want to look amazing!

So those are all the red lipsticks currently in my collection.

What's your favourite red lip shade? Do you own any of the red lipsticks I have in my collection?

Lifestyle | My Christimas 2014 Wishlist

Christmas is just over a month away now!!! How exciting, I really love Christmas and have already started making my room look a little more festive, if you're wanting a Festive Room Tour like last year, let me know in the comments.

Today I just thought I'd share with you a few things that are on my Christmas wishlist this year. I'll be honest a lot of the things I have told my family and friends to get me is for my trip to America as I know this will help me out enormously money wise. However there is a few things that I have asked for that I've just been lusting over like crazy! I tend to make an Amazon Wishlist every year, as this makes it super easy for people buying me presents to see what I would like. So let me show you what I'm hoping Santa will leave under the tree for me.

Believe it or not I actually do not own any Charlotte Tilbury make up at all in my collection. We all know as well that I hoard eyeshadows by the trolley load, so how can I not wish for the Dolce Vita Eyeshadow Palette? It's the perfect mix of shades for Winter time, meaning it makes the perfect Christmas present.

I've decided that I need a more casual day to day watch, as my Marc Jacobs watch is getting a few scratches from daily wear and as it was quite expensive I feel that I should be saving this now for special occasions. I was in love with this watch from Olivia Burton on first glance, the colours are me all over as well as having the big face that I prefer to have on a watch.

I've been on the hunt for a really nice backpack for some while now, especially with going to America next year. I'm so obsessed with this backpack it's unreal, however its £100 price tag is a little too hefty. But fear not I've seen a dupe in Primark for only £12 that I've pointed out to Santa AKA Mum, so I'm hoping that will be under the tree come Christmas day.

Last year I finally got my first ever Jo Malone cologne in Blackberry and Bay, this then started my love affair with their fragrances and candles. So how could I not ask for another? The wood sage and sea salt cologne is a lot heavier than the blackberry and bay, but it also is a lot fresher meaning it will work well over the summer months also.

How can I not ask for this? I mean this film is just so good, okay it's not Scorsese, but still it's a great film and I loved the book so much! I have only seen the film once but I know I need it stashed away in my DVD collection ASAP, so what perfect time to ask for it at Christmas.

I always ask for a candle at Christmas as I find the Winter months the time when I light candles the most and get obsessed with them. This year I've opted for a Diptyque Paris Candle as I heard good things about their fragrances and candle collection. I'm really lusting over the Jasmin scent as I know this will be good for helping me relax and will smell great when lit having a bath.

So that is what I'm hoping to see under the Christmas tree next month! I know it's unlikely I will get all the things I'm lusting over but hey a girl can dream, right?

What's on your Christmas 2014 Wishlist?

Beauty | My Desert Island Products

Today I'm giving you my top 5 products that I would most definitely take with me if I was stranded on a Desert Island. Now I'm not talking things that would be practical for survival, I'm talking what I can't live a day with out; those items that I will forever keep repurchasing cause they are just so damn good!!

You've heard me rave about this product before in a previous monthly favourites! It is just the best cleanser I have ever used, not only does it melt my make up off but it has also really helped kepping my spots and blemishes at bay.

I have never loved a mascara as much as I love this one from Rimmel! It has argan oil in the formula so it also is really nourishing for your lashes, keeping them in really good condition! Also the rose gold packaging is a big winner for me as well!

I don't think there is hardly a day that goes by that I don't pick up this palette and use it. It is so good for creating versatile eyeshadow looks. The range of shades is amazing as well as the pigmentation being super good!

Where to start with this eyeliner? It is so good at creating winged eyeliner due to the shape of the nib as well as being able to get close to the lash line if wanting a simple eyeliner look for everyday. The liquid also stays all day and doesn't wear either so no top ups required!

The colour of this lipstick is just to die for! If I had to wear one lipstick for the rest of my life this would be it. It stays all day, has a great matte finish and also is such a deep burgundy colour that looks great with a smokey eye.

So those are my desert island products that I can't go a day without!

What your desert island products are? Is there one thing you can't go a day without using?

Beauty | Hourglass Mechanical Gel Eyeliner

Recently I was lucky enough that my Mum brought me back the Hourglass Mechanical Gel Eyeliner from her trip to America. After being really unimpressed with Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner, I had been on the hunt for something better that could help me improve my winged eyeliner technique without looking like I had been punched! (It's harder than it looks)

My Mum picked me up the Hourglass Mechanical Gel Eyeliner after some debate after speaking to one of the assistants in Sephora.

This eyeliner is just amazing! The nib is so thin that you can really get the gel close to the lash line as well as perfecting that cat flick and winged eyeliner. The staying power is also great and you don't get the gel transferring onto the upper lid of your eye. Also the Hourglass eyeline is half the price of Benefit's making it even more of a winner in my books.

Have you tried Hourglass Mechanical Gel Eyeliner? How do you rate it?

Lifestyle | Very Party In Style

Last Thursday I headed off to The Oxo2 to have a little look at what had on offer for this years Christmas season as well as Samantha Faiers launching her own clothing line. It was a great evening with Sam & Shivon and we all had our eyes on some amazing pieces of clothing that was on show.

Top - New Look
Skirt - Asos
Boots - Primark

As you can see Very has some amazing items in at the moment perfect for the Christmas party season! I've got my eyes on the gold cut out dress from Sam Faiers collection as it would be perfect for Christmas Eve or New Years.

Have you had a look at Very's Christmas outfit picks? What do you think of Sam's range of clothing?

Beauty | Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Palettes Review

If you have seen my USA Make Up Haul post, you will know that I was lucky enough to get my mitts on two Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Palettes. I had been lusting over some of their eyeshadow palettes for ages and had only heard good things about them. They are so compact and have where each shade should be placed embossed on each of the colours, making eyeshadow super easy for those afraid of it.

Sweet As Candy
Silent Treatment
Sweet As Candy has become my everyday go to shade as it has really neutral pink toned shades, where as Silent Treatment is great for nights out as it makes a really good smokey eye. Especially if you really pack on the crease colour and blend.

I would highly recommend picking up some of these eyeshadows if you're ever in America, I know when I visit next year I'll be getting my hands on loads more as I love both of mine so much! I'm almost too scared to use them incase I hit the pan!

Have you tried the Wet n Wild eyeshadows? What's your favourite shade?

Lifestyle | Day Trip To Brighton

Last Saturday I took myself on a little day trip to Brighton. Emma and I decided we needed to get out of Essex for the day and go explore this seaside town.

It was such a cold and windy day, but we had a really great time wandering along the pier and through The Lanes; of course no trip to Brighton wouldn't be the same without a late lunch in Bill's.

I really love Brighton so much and I'm already trying to plan my next trip back there, hopefully when the weather is a little better. If you want to see more of what Emma and I got up to (including breaking the air hockey machine) you can check out my vlog below!

Have you been to Brighton before? What did you think of the pretty seaside town?
