My Foundation Round Up

Hi everyone,
Hope you've all had a great week and have been spoiling your mum's today!
I had a lovely day yesterday with my mum and nan at Southend Casino and they loved their cards and presents this morning
 Today I'm talking foundations!
I'm a foundation hoarder, I currently have four sitting on my dressing table that I alternate between.
So I'm going to give you an insight to my foundations and what I think of them.

I love foundation and believe that if you invest in a good foundation then your make up will look amazing.
Now at present I currently don't own any high street brand foundations as I am trying to invest in my make up collection.

First up is my NARS sheer matte glow.

Now this foundation is actually quite dark, so this only comes out when I've got a bit of a tan or have been using my fake tan.
I love the matte quality of this foundation and find that it stays on for the majority day. I also find that with this foundation I don't have to put bronzer over the top to add a pop of colour and can just contour and highlight the areas.

Next up is my MAC Studio Fix Fluid.
I generally use this on a day to day basis (however I'm currently scraping the sides as there is not much left), I find this has perfect coverage and lasts through out the day when I'm at work. If you are looking for a foundation to get you through the day then I would recommend this.

Now I love this foundation. I got colour matched at the Smashbox counter in my local Boots and the girl recommend using the studio skin as I told her I wanted coverage that would last throughout a busy work day.
This gets used for daily wear, when I often have meetings at work or I'm going out after work. This way I know my foundation will last and I can just top up my other make up if I'm in a rush.
If you haven't tried a Smashbox foundation I would highly recommend the Studio Skin, it gives really good coverage as well as having SPF!

Last but not least is my holy grail of foundations.
Estee Lauder Double Wear!
Before buying this foundation I went to my local House of Fraser and got colour matched, I was also then given a 10 day tester to try before deciding if I wanted to purchase the full bottle.
I was sold literally the second I put the product on my face!
This foundation is heaven, yes it is pricey at nearly £30 but it is worth every penny.
It stays on all day, makes you look flawless as well as being a joy to apply with either a sponge or stippling brush.
I use this for special occasions or when I fancy putting a little bit more effort in with my make up.
If you are wanting to invest in a high brand foundation that is totally amazing then run out and buy this now!!
I always get compliments about my make up when I wear this foundation, so it was definitely worth the investment.

And those are my current foundations!
What foundations do you love?
Will you be trying any of the above foundations?
Let me know in the comments.

Payday Wishlist

Well hello everyone,
It's nearly that time of the month that I look forward every month,
Before payday I have grand plans of all the lovely things I'm going to buy once my pay cheque hits my bank account, however about 2 days after getting paid I realise I totally broke due to all the bills I've had to pay and spontaneous work drinks that are always only suppose to be just one but end up being half a bottle.
So today I'm going to give you a little peek into what's on my payday wishlist this month!
I'm hoping that I'll actually be able to get my mitts on some of these goodies if I spend my money right this month.

1.  I Woke Up Like This Tee - £16.99
From Lauren Pope's collection on
I'm loving this slogan tee!
This will be great with a pair of jeans and coverse or vans, as well as a great tee for the gym.

2. Oversized Boyfriend Shirt - £14.00
We all know I love a shirt and Matalan have a great range of oversized boyfriend shirts, that I'm dying to get my mitts on.

3. Gym/Yoga Pants - £16.75
Forever 21
I've just joined the gym in a bid to get my bikini body in time for my holiday, so I need to invest in some cute gym wear! I love this pants as they have a slight splash of colour.

4. Closed Toe Buckle Shoes - £30.00
Now these shoes you'll either love them or hate them.
I think they will become a staple in my wardrobe if I purchase them, great for the summer with a cute pair of shorts and some frilly socks!

5. Bunch of Carrots Bubble Bar - £5.95
Lush Ltd
It's nearly Easter bank holiday and I fully intend to have an Easter themed bubble bath whilst tucking into my many Easter eggs along with a million cups of coffee (I've given caffeine up for lent). These bunch of carrots from Lush will be perfect!

6. Get Fit Notepad - £9.95
Charm & Gumption
In my bid to get fit I would love to have something like this to keep me motivated! It has spaces for your breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks as well as crossing off your water intake and jotting down your motivational quote for the day.

And that's what I'm hoping to get with my pay cheque this month!
However I've got lots of social events happening as well as trying to save some cash for the summer, so we shall see if I manage to purchase any of these lovely items!

What are you wanting to buy with your wages this month?
Do you want anything on my wish list?
Let me know in the comments.

Until next time...

Bootea Detox - Week One Update

Howdy All,
Hope you've had a super week and weekend!
I've been slaving away at work this week so couldn't wait for a weekend of catching up on blogs and my TV shows.
So I've just completed week one of the BooTea teatox and I've really been enjoying it.
The eating plan is really good and I've been venturing out of my comfort zone a little trying new healthy foods.
I love that you have some kind of structure so you know what is good and bad regarding the teatox itself.
I've been busy in the kitchen making Chinese style prawn stir fry, pasta with tuna and pesto, salad topped with mackrel; its actually really made me enjoy the teatox even more.

The daytime cleanse has actually been really refreshing in the mornings, but I have still been having my usual cup of green tea once I get to work also just to push away any hunger pangs I may be getting.
The bedtime cleanse is my favourite, the taste is perfect for just before bed time. It's a little peppermint which is calming and relaxing; just what I need after a stressful day in the office.
However the next morning after the bedtime tea, lets just say the toilet becomes my best friend.
Too much information I know, but you guys need to know!
I know this is what the cleanse is meant to do but sometimes at work when you need to go it's not the best opportunity.

I also joined the gym at the beginning of this week and have been hitting it a little hardcore.
(Before work and even on my lunch sometimes)
So this will be helping my results also.
At the beginning of the teatox I was weighing 11 stone 13 pounds.
I weighed myself Friday morning and the scales showed that I had lost nothing!
As you can imagine I was highly disappointed by this. I felt healthier and like I lost weight so I couldn't understand why I hadn't even lost 1 pound.
So yesterday morning I decided to weigh myself again and this time the scales showed I had lost 3 pounds!
Now I'm happy with that and will take it as a starting point, but this week I plan to hit the gym harder and be more strict with my food. (I've had a few sneaky chocolate bars)
I now have 1 stone 11 pounds to loose by 6th June!

Me working hard at the gym!

So all in all I'm heading on the right track to loosing my goal weight before heading off to Egypt with the girls.
However I know when I finish Bootea I will need to keep eating healthily as well as keeping up with the gym.
What are your workout tips?
How do you manage to keep weight off that you've lost?
Let me know in the comments.
Until next time...

Beauty Review: Soap & Glory No Clogs Allowed

Hey Everyone,

Hope you're having a good week so far, its Wednesday meaning the weekend is in sight!

Today I'm giving you a little beauty review from one of my favourite beauty brands
Soap & Glory!

A little while ago I took to Twitter about my extreme breakout I seemed to be having on a specific area of my chin. Now I'm really good with my skincare, I take my make up off with cleanser every night as well as using a toner, hydraluron and moisturiser. However my chin just seemed to be suffering and nothing would budge.

So after a few replies of suggesting a pore cleansing mask, I went on a hunt for one.
As it was the week before pay day I was a little tight on pennies and couldn't afford what I originally would have liked to clear this breakout.
So I decided to have a little look at my trusty fave brand in Boots,
Soap & Glory.
It was here that I stumbled across
No Clogs Allowed (£11.50)

So what is No Clogs Allowed?
To put it simply its a self heating deep pore face mask, that helps dig deep and cleanse out your stubborn pores.

How does it work?
Give the tube a good shake, then squeeze out a good blob onto your fingers.
Make sure your face is dry and then rub the mask on, once you've got the mask on wet your hands and then scrub the mask all over once again until it starts turning blue and you can feel it heating up.
Once blue and warm, leave on for around 5 minutes (I usually go watch a YouTube video) and then wash off with a warm cloth. I tend to use my muslin cloth to wash off which works better than a wash cloth.

Does it work?
Yes, whenever I use No Clogs Allowed I can feel a real difference in my skin straight after, it feels smoother and looks more healthy. Also it's really helped clear up my breakout amazingly.
I use about once or twice a week depending how bad my skin is or the morning after a night out as I know my pores will be clogged with alcohol.
The warming sensation is a tad odd at first, however you do get use to it and it also makes you feel like it is working before seeing the results!

Would I recommend?
Hell yes I would!
I've seen a big difference in my skin since using this deep pore mask.
If your suffering from a breakout and need a high street product to help a bad breakout your having then do go to Boots and snap this baby up!
You can thank me later!

Have you tried No Clogs Allowed?
Will you be buying this heating face mask now?
What products do you use to help rid bad breakouts?

BooTea Tea-tox

Hello all,
Hope you're all having a lovely weekend and have been enjoying the sunshine,
now that its finally here!

With the sun now shining, its time to start thinking of those summer holidays and getting beach body ready.
I've got 12 weeks until my holiday and need to start getting my butt in gear to loose that 2 stone I'm desperately trying to loose before stepping on that plane.

I do eat healthily, however I'm a sucker for chocolate or cake.
Wave them in front of me and I'll do anything for a piece.
The only exercise that I'm currently doing at the moment also walking half my way to and from work everyday and some crunches in the evening.
However I've only seemed to have lost around 4lbs so far, which I know I shouldn't complain about but it's not good enough for me personally.

So when I stumbled across the BooTea Tea Tox on Twitter, which helps loose weight whilst detoxing your body of the bad toxins I was ready to find out more.
So I headed over to their website to find out what they do and how it works.

BooTea is basically a herbal natural tea that comes in a daytime cleanse and a night time cleanse.
The daytime cleanse is taken every day, first thing when you wake up. All you need to do is add hot water and let the teabag infuse for 3 minutes before drinking. The daytime tea will help increase your metabolism, covert food into energy that will burn fat and calories as well as suppressing your appetite.
The night time cleanse is taken every other night in the same way, this then helps cleanse out your digestive system as well as prevent excess calories being stored as fat! The night time one does apparently make you need to be near a toilet ten hour after drinking, but this is obviously to flush you out of the bad stuff!

After reading all the info on the BooTea site I was sold.
I decided to try the 14 day teatox for £19.99, which I think for a detox is quite a good price.
They do offer a 28 day teatox also for £37.99 (is currently on offer at £34.99) but I'm going to see how I go with the 14 day detox first. If it works then maybe just before going away I will do the 28 day just to shift those extra few pounds.

Of course you do have to make some sacrifices on the teatox.
This means form yesterday I'm not touching alcohol or meat.
I have also given up white carbs and caffeine for lent so this will probably help also with an extra bit of weight loss.
BooTea do offer an eating plan also that I'm going to try and stick to, this does allow you to have breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as two snacks during the day; I can also have a square of dark chocolate if I'm getting those chocolate cravings!
I've currently printed the eating plan out and have stuck it to my fridge so I know what exactly I'm going to eat.

Yesterday was day one of the TeaTox and I planned to keep you guys informed of how I'm doing over the next 2 weeks.
Yesterday I felt a lot more energized just after one cup, so I'm excited to see how this goes!

Have you tried BooTea?
What are your thoughts on detoxes?

A Little Life Catch Up

Hello Everybody,

Well as you may have seen I haven't really blogged in over a month,
I've been so busy with my personal and work life I haven't had the chance to sit down and
spend enough time on a good quality post.

So what have I been up to?

Well I got a promotion at work a few weeks ago,
which now means I'm constantly busy so I have no time to sit and draft posts any more.
So when I get home (which is sometimes not until 7.30/8pm) I just want to shower and crash out in bed watching Netflix.
Also we moved offices at work, so I now have a nicer (cheaper) journey to work which is helping me in many ways.

I've also had lots of my closet friends birthdays meaning I've been helping sort out presents, nights out and parties etc.
It's always great fun helping organising this kind of things as I love seeing the looks on the girls faces when they open their presents or we surprise them with a little party.

I've also been suffering with my anxiety quite a lot lately.
My anxiety has got a lot worse in the last year, due to personal reasons it brought everything to the surface,
and generally if I have a drink I tend to have an attack either that evening when I'm out (which is super sexy) or the following day.

The other week I had one in the middle of my local shopping centre after having my contact lenses fitted, I got so frustrated that I couldn't get my lenses in first time that I ended up getting myself in a tizz that lead to an attack followed by a migraine.
This is what has been affecting my blogging the most, when I personally get a bout of anxiety I feel worthless and that everything I do is not good enough. It takes a good talking to from one of my closest friends to whip me back into shape.
It's not fun but I'm trying to learn more about dealing with anxiety and hopefully I'll be able to get it under control.

So that is what I've been up to in the last month,
I've got a few things planned for the blog and will be hopefully getting back into my regular posting schedule of Sundays and Wednesdays.
There's a few beauty reviews planned as well as some events that I've managed to get myself invited to in April (one being the launch of the new range at Jo Malone, excited)

What have you been all up to lately?
Do any of you suffer with anxiety and have some tips dealing with it?
What are you wanting to see on the blog?
Let me know in the comments, I love reading them and I'm going to start replying to everyone!!!

Until next time...
